Lynskey Backroad touring bike, great for loaded touring, commuting or gravel road riding.
Frame is a Lynskey
titanium touring geometry frame. Effective top tube is 57cm, seat tube 57cm to the top of the seat clamp. Sloping top tube makes it fit like a 59-60cm with the high handlebar position. These frames were built by Lynskey to be the strongest possible. American welded titanium, with double butted and shaped tubing and curvey stays. Welding quality is excellent. The frame has attachment points for disk brakes and cable guides, three water bottle cages, rear rack and fenders.
Front fork is a Lynskey chromoly steel. The fork has attachment points for disk brakes front lowrider rack and fenders. Cane Creek 1-1/8" sealed cartridge bearing threadless headset.
The bike is fully equipped for loaded touring with the following set-up:
The wheels are built with Shimano Deore XT loose bearing hubs, Alex double wall, eyeleted alloy rims and 36 stainless spokes each. Tires are Panaracer Pasela Tourguard belted folding clinchers, 700cX32mm, Frame clearance for up to 38mm-ish tires without fenders.
Handlebar is a 44cm FSA with an FSA 100mm threadless alloy stem.
Crankset is a SRAM X9 triple 175mm with 44, 34, and 24 tooth alloy chainrings. Bottom bracket is an external cartridge bearing
Drivetrain is 3 X 9 speed, affordable and easy to service on tour.
-Cassette is a SRAM PG 950 11-28 tooth 9-speed, new SRAM PC-951 chain.
-Derailleurs are SRAM Rival front and new Microshift R9 rear
-Microshift 9-speed indexed bar-end shifters (friction left lever, indexed right lever is convertible to friction with a simple 90 degree turn of the ring) bar-end shifters.
Disc brakes are Avid BB7 mechanical disc calipers with SRAM levers.
FSA 1-bolt, micro adjust seat post; Selle San Marco Rolls Titano titanium railed saddle.
MKS Sylvan Track pedals, probably just for test rides, as the buyer will install their favorite setup.
Sale includes three water bottle cages, Salsa rear rack, Salsa front lowrider racks, and Planet Bike full fenders.
